Welcome to SKAR ART, a website to display the various works of borosilicate glass artists Miranda and Joseph Skar.

       Joe is known for his solid sculptural techniques. He specializes in making marbles, pendants and a variety of other sculpture based glass. Joe’s glass is recognizable for it’s unique themes, and simple elegant coherence.

Miranda focuses her talent on hollow glass techniques. Creating unique jars and other assorted vessels has become her area of expertise. Watching her manipulate the molten glass is a mesmerizing experience,  Miranda’s work is functional, distinctive, and eye catching.

Together they live in beautiful Bellingham, WA with their baby daughter Ivy, who they hope one day will want to learn the art as well. Miranda and Joe are inspired by their love of their daughter, their love of the pacific northwest atmosphere, and their love for each other.
